Background and Qualifications

As well as a relationship therapy MA, I have  postgraduate diplomas in couple/family counselling and psychosexual therapy (University of Hull), a graduate certificate in couple therapy (University of East London),diploma in clinical supervision and consultancy (The Grove) and EMDR Europe accredited training in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing.I am an EMDR counsultant in training,

I am a clinical supervisor, currently in private practice, but have also supervised for Rape Crisis and Relate Mid-Wiltshire,  Cymru, the Isle of Man and Plymouth.

I am a qualified teacher, offering CPD and having lectured since 2009, for the Foundation for Counselling and Relationship Studies, Relate Institute,  Amersham & Wycombe College and  University College London and also offering bespoke training and workshops as well as an ongoing portfolio of training for counsellors and therapists.  My own continued training and continuous professional development is essential to the way I practice.

I am a member of an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy,  College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists, for whom I am a trustee, and EMDR Europe.

Originally a nurse, then editor of Nursing Mirror and Nursing magazines, I have an interest in health-related issues and life coaching, which is focused on developing skills to achieve specific goals. My special interests include sex, relationships and trauma, particularly using IFS and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR).
