Background and Qualifications

As well as a relationship therapy MA, I have  postgraduate diplomas in couple/family counselling and psychosexual therapy (University of Hull), a graduate certificate in couple therapy (University of East London),diploma in clinical supervision and consultancy (The Grove) and EMDR Europe accredited training in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing.

I am a clinical supervisor both in private practice and for Relate, currently with Relate Mid-Wiltshire, and previously for Relate Cymru, the Isle of Man and Plymouth.

I am a qualified teacher, presently lecturing for the Foundation for Counselling and Relationship Studies. Before this, I was a Relate Institute lecturer for seven years and taught CBT at Amersham & Wycombe College. I am a visiting lecturer at University College London and also offer bespoke training and workshops as well as an ongoing portfolio of .training for counsellors and therapists.  My own continued training and continuous professional development is essential to the way I practice.

I am a member of the Association of Family Therapy and an accredited member of both the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and of the College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists.

Originally a nurse, and then editor of Nursing Mirror and then Nursing magazines, I have an interest in health-related issues and life coaching, which is focused on developing skills to achieve specific goals. My special interest currently is Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR).
